What is the blendVET Achiever program?

You will explore DEIB-focused communication, leadership, and allyship topics within the veterinary field. You will also gain access to our private community platform, where you can engage with current and previous blendVET students, complete program challenges, and attend live events.

This course is RACE-approved and offers a unique opportunity to network and gain insight into the inclusive progression of veterinary medicine.

Virtual Programming

2.5-hour Cohort Orientation providing the background to why DEIB is important in Veterinary Medicine and what you can expect from your program.

Post-program session to discuss best practices and ways forward for sustainability. 

Continuing Education Credits

 Seven (7) RACE-approved self-paced virtual DEIB modules accessed through The Community, a virtual blendVET networking platform to engage with current and previous blendVET students.”

 Individual, post-module, Online Quiz/Assessment.

Facilitated Enrichment sessions

Three (3) Virtual Facilitated sessions to allow for a deeper understanding of selected program content.

Supplemental reading, Resources, Activities, and Self-reflection assignments to accompany each module.

1. Can anyone join the blendVET Achiever program? 
 
Yes, This program is for ALL Veterinary professionals! That's students, educators, faculty, hospital operators, administrators, veterinary technicians, DVMs, recruiters, farmers, etc.
 
2. How many live or facilitated sessions are included and are they also RACE-approved?
 
There are 5 live sessions scheduled within the program - the program orientation,  three in-depth facilitated module sessions, and a post-program workshop. Live sessions are not RACE-approved, as these are deep-dive discussions held  within a psychologically safe space.
 
3. How should I structure my schedule for the asynchronous, live interactive or facilitated sessions?
 
Our live content varies from 90 minutes to 2 hours. Scheduled session dates will be provided in the syllabus prior to program start date. For the asynchronous modules, allot 1-2 hours/week to allow time for self-paced module completion, reflective questions, and participation in the Community page 
 
4. How long do I have to complete the course?
 
Online programming will commence at the designated end and start dates of each respective cohort. However, program modules are self-paced.
 
5. How will my credits be received?
 
blendVET Achiever certificates, badges, and RACE-approved credit hours will be sent by email to each cohort participant. It is the sole responsibility of the participant to submit any necessary documentation to their regional license-governing body.
 
6. What is Blendvet's Achiever cohort refund policy?
 
Full refunds are allowed NO LESS THAN 45 business days prior to the cohort start date if participants need to withdraw for any reason from their upcoming cohort. Please submit your withdrawal request to [email protected] and specify the cohort program date. Please refer to our terms and policy for further information.
 
7. What are the program requirements?
 
Cohort participants MUST ATTEND a minimum of two (2) out of three (3) live facilitated module discussions and complete an online assignment pertaining to the designated missed module facilitation to receive BlendVET certification upon program completion. Video recording of facilitated content will be available to cohort participants. Assignments must be submitted within 14 days of the missed facilitation. RACE credit hours will still be provided for the completion of any self-paced asynchronous module and associated quiz.
